Diane Favorito has worked professionally as a Computer Graphic Artist in the multimedia industry for twenty years.  She has designed for interactive media, electronic public displays, presentation graphics and for the Internet.

After completing a Fine Art Degree at Montclair State University in New Jersey in 1986, Diane honed her creative talent at Pratt University in New York, one of the nation's top design schools, completing the Computer Animation Program in 1988.

Her career in the multimedia business got off to a fast start at NYNEX Computer Services in Pearl River, New York, in 1986. Her earliest design projects were for interactive information-based kiosks which were placed throughout highly-visible areas of Atlanta and New York, including The Jacob Javits Center and Ellis Island.

Excited about learning new media, but bothered by the creative and technical limitations of working for a large corporation, Diane accepted her first freelance project in 1989 for Sony Corporation of America, creating visuals for their National Consumer Sales Meeting.  After developing an outstanding rapport with Sony, she continued working for them on a regular basis, and was no sooner designing visuals for most of their meetings and for Sony Jumbotron in Times Square, many of which were broadcast worldwide.

In 1992, Diane co-founded Perfect Image in Nyack, New York. Dedicated to providing audiences with an unforgettable audiovisual experience, Perfect Image produced softwalls, which were totally seamless hi-resolution video walls.  One of the company's first projects took them to Rome, Italy, for Kellogg's European Annual Sales Meeting in 1992, in which all AV elements were available in eight languages.  Other milestones include softwall presentations for The National Football League and for The Walt Disney Company, which received an Innovation Award by the Association of Multi Image in 1993.  Her company, Perfect Image, was also featured in "Dataton News & Views", an international industry magazine.

Diane continues to travel worldwide creating business meeting presentations.  Her current client list includes major players in the corporate world... IBM, Pfizer, Booz Allen Hamilton, BearingPoint and Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co., to name a few.  Her experience, professionalism, loyalty and patience have resulted in long-standing relationships with her clients and colleagues.

In 1997, Diane began designing web sites.  She brings a unique design flair to them which might otherwise be mundane.  Although many who have the ability to get on the Internet profess to know web design, the main difference with Diane's work is design skill, Internet knowledge, experience and professional commitment.

Recognized for her contributions to charitable matters, Diane currently serves on the board for Women's Ski Jumping USA, a national non-profit organization, whose goal is to make women's ski jumping an Olympic event by 2010.  By creating and maintaining their website, which features the achievements, the discipline, the talent and the inspiration of young female ski jump athletes, she helps raise awareness and create opportunities that have a direct impact on young female athletes.

With a generous spirit and an unwavering passion for art, Diane also donates her time teaching Art to elementary school children.  Hats off to the many kids who bravely shared their visions and explorations.  Their freedom of expression and perceptive imagery is an inspiration to her.  Their work has enabled her to enjoy new insight into Picasso's often quoted remark, "It took me years to paint like Raphael but it has taken me my whole life to learn to draw like a child."

Throughout the years, Diane has found that the Art of multimedia maintains a certain level of excitement.  As technology changes, so does the demand for continual growth and serious dedication. She is continually working to improve her skills and techniques, learning new tools and mastering the old ones.

But it's not all work for Diane Favorito.  When wanting to get away from computers, she enjoys traveling frequently and has attended several language schools in Italy to improve her Italian. When closer to home, you can find her riding her motorcycle, relaxing on her boat or skiing and snowboarding with her family and friends in Park City, Utah.
